Parental Advisory Stickers

Well It appears that since I am the RP OG that I have been chosen to explore the Videogame Rating Councils (VRC) system.

Personally I believe it is a bunch of crap. This because I have never seen a sticker actually stop a child from figuring out a way of getting a adult rated game if they really want it. If they cannot than they just go to a friends house that has the game.

My Sister and her Husband think differently on this. They feel that it gives the parents a feeling of being in control.

Well if the parents feel that that gives them control of what their children play, maybe they should just learn how to say NO! Also if they think that their child cannot understand the difference between a cartoon a video game and real life. maybe they are not old enough to be playing any games yet.

I do find it amusing though that the VRC was brought about by Sega. Good strategy to get the youngsters to want to play your games. All they need to do know is make the packaging smell like cigarettes!
